ਨੌਕਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਮੇਜ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਇੱਕਲਿਆਂ ਬਿਠਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਮੇਜ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਇੱਕਲੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਸਰੀ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਮੇਜ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਖਰੇ ਬੈਠੇ ਸਨ। ਮਿਸਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਇਬਰਾਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਬੈਠਕੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਖਾਣਾ ਗਲਤ ਹੈ।
