Genesis 37:14
ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜਾਹ ਜਾਕੇ ਦੇਖ ਤੇਰੇ ਭਰਾ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਤਾਂ ਹਨ। ਆਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦੱਸੀਂ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਠੀਕ-ਠਾਕ ਹਨ ਜਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ।” ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਬਰੋਨ ਦੀ ਵਾਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ਕਮ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਅਤੀਤ ਕਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਕਿਰਯਥ ਅਰਬਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਅਨਾਕੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਮਹਾਨ ਆਦਮੀ-ਅਰਬਾ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਆਦਮੀ-ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸਤੋਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ।
ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 23:2
ਉਸਦਾ ਦੇਹਾਂਤ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਿਰਿਯਤ ਅਰਬਾ (ਹਬਰੋਨ) ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ। ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਬਹੁਤ ਉਦਾਸ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਉਸ ਲਈ ਰੋਂਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ।
ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 13:18
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਤੰਬੂ ਪੁੱਟ ਲਿਆ। ਉਹ ਮਮਰੇ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਰੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇੜੇ ਜਾਕੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਿਆ। ਇਹ ਥਾਂ ਹਬਰੋਨ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਵੀ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਉਸਾਰੀ।
ਲੋਕਾ 19:42
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਕਾਸ਼ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਅੱਜ ਇਹ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਕਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਕਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਲਿਆਉਣਗੀਆਂ। ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਲੁਕੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 29:7
ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਲਈ ਨੇਕ ਕੰਮ ਕਰੋ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਸੀ। ਜਿਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਰਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ ਉਸ ਲਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰੋ। ਕਿਉਂ? ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਉਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਰਹੋਗੇ।”
ਜ਼ਬੂਰ 125:5
ਮੰਦੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੰਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੰਡ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਹੋਵੇ।

ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ। ਪਰ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਮਝਾ ਸੱਕੇ, ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ।”

ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਉਸਦਾ ਕੀ ਹਾਲ ਹੈ?” ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਉਹ ਰਾਜੀ-ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਹੈ। ਹਰ ਚੀਜ਼ ਠੀਕ ਹੈ। ਦੇਖੋ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਰਾਖੇਲ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਰੀ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।”
