ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 36:9
ਏਸਾਓ, ਅਦੋਮ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾਮਾ ਹੈ। ਸੇਈਰ (ਅਦੋਮ) ਦੇ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਏਸਾਓ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਇਹ ਹਨ:

| are the generations | תֹּֽלְד֥וֹת | tōlĕdôt | toh-leh-DOTE |
| of Esau | עֵשָׂ֖ו | ʿēśāw | ay-SAHV |
| father the | אֲבִ֣י | ʾăbî | uh-VEE |
| of the Edomites | אֱד֑וֹם | ʾĕdôm | ay-DOME |
| in mount | בְּהַ֖ר | bĕhar | beh-HAHR |
