Genesis 31:5
ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੇ ਰਾਖੇਲ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਆਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਦੇਖ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਰਾਜ਼ ਹੈ। ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਦੋਸਤਾਨਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੈ।

ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੇ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਲਾਬਾਨ ਦਾ ਵਿਵਹਾਰ ਵੀ ਹੁਣ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਦੋਸਤਾਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ।

ਪਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਦਾ ਭੈ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੀ। ਜੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ, ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਖਾਲੀ ਹੱਥ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਣਾ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਕੰਮ ਦੇਖਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਰਾਤ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਸਾਬਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਠੀਕ ਹਾਂ।”
ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 31:53
ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਨਾਹੋਰ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰੇ ਜੇ ਕਦੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮੇ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜੀਏ।” ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ “ਭੈ” ਬੁਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੇ ਵਚਨ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਉਹੀ ਨਾਮ ਵਰਤਿਆ।
ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 21:22
ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦਾ ਅਬੀਮਲਕ ਨਾਲ ਸੌਦਾ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਅਬੀਮਲਕ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੀਕੋਲ ਨੇ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ। ਫ਼ੀਲੋਕ ਅਬੀਮਲਕ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਦਾ ਕਮਾਂਡਰ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੇਰੀ ਹਰ ਗੱਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੈ।
ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 31:13
ਮੈਂ ਉਹੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਬੈਤਏਲ ਵਿਖੇ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਯਾਦਗਾਰੀ ਪੱਥਰ ਧਰਿਆ ਸੀ। ਤੂੰ ਯਾਦਗਾਰੀ ਪੱਥਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਜੈਤੂਨ ਦਾ ਤੇਲ ਚੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਂ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਤੂੰ ਜਨਮਿਆ ਸੀ।’”
ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 32:9
ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ “ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ, ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ! ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ! ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਜਨਮ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਵਾਪਸ ਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਤੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਭਲਾ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ।
ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 48:15
ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੇ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਸ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ, ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਨੇ, ਸਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਉਮਰ ਮੇਰੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 50:17
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ, ‘ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਣਾ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਭੈੜੇ ਕਾਰਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਮਾਫ਼ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇ।’ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੁਣ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼, ਅਸੀਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਉਹਾਂ ਭੈੜੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਲਈ ਮਾਫ਼ ਕਰਦੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤੇ ਸਨ। ਅਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ, ਤੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਹਾਂ।” ਇਸ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਨੇ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਉਦਾਸ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਰੋ ਪਿਆ।
