Genesis 28:7
ਅਤੇ ਏਸਾਓ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ ਪਦਨ ਅਰਾਮ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।

ਅਮਸਾਲ 30:17
ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਮਜ਼ਾਕ ਉਡਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਤਾ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਮੰਨਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਓਨੀ ਹੀ ਬੁਰੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਜਿੰਨੀ ਉਸ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਗਿਰਝਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਖਾ ਲਈਆਂ ਹੋਣ।

ਬੱਚੇ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਪੇ ਬਚਿਓ, ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਉਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੁਹਾਥੋਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਹੀ ਹੈ।

ਉਹ ਵਾਇਦਾ ਹੈ; “ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੰਮੀ ਉਮਰ ਬਿਤਾਓਗੇ।”
