Genesis 24:21
ਨੌਕਰ ਚੁੱਪ-ਚਾਪ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ। ਉਹ ਪੱਕਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਜਵਾਬ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਫ਼ਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।

ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਗੀਤ ਇਹ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਦੋਂ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਅਬੀਮਲਕ ਅੱਗੇ ਪਾਗਲ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਦਿਖਾਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਮੈਂ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਆਖਾਂਗਾ। ਉਸਦੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੁੱਲ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੈ।

ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਤਦ ਦਾਊਦ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਅੰਦਰ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਜਾਕੇ ਬੈਠ ਗਿਆ। ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੇ ਇੰਨਾ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਕਿਉਂ ਹੈਂ? ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਇੰਨਾ ਅਹਮ ਕਿਉਂ ਹੈ? ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੇ ਇੰਨੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ?

ਪਰ ਨੌਕਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਰ ਨਾ ਕਰਵਾਉ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਸਫ਼ਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕੋਲ ਵਾਪਸ ਜਾਣ ਦਿਉ।”
