“ਏਲਾਮ ਵੀ ਓੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਉਸਦੀ ਕਬਰ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਜੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਡੂੰਘੇ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਡਰਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਸ਼ਰਮ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਖੱਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ।

ਏਲਾਮ ਬਾਰੇ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਜਦੋਂ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਸੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਨਬੀ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਮਿਲਿਆ। ਇਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਏਲਾਮ ਦੀ ਕੌਮ ਬਾਰੇ ਹੈ।

ਯਸਈਆਹ 21:2
ਮੈਂ ਕੁਝ ਬਹੁਤ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕਿ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰਹੇਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਦੇਸ਼ ਧ੍ਰੋਹੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਦੇਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਦੌਲਤ ਲੁੱਟਦੇ ਦੇਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ। ਏਲਾਮ, ਜਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜੋ! ਮਦਾਈ, ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਫ਼ੌਜਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰਾ ਪਾ ਲਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਦਿਓ! ਮੈਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਬਦੀਆਂ ਉਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਮੁਕਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।

ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਹਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਂਤ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਇਹ ਆਗੂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਅਤੇ ਅਣਵਿਆਹੀਆਂ ਕੁੜੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੂਸ਼ਨ ਜਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆਉਣ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੁੜੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਦੇ ਜਨਾਨਖਾਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਖੁਸਰੇ ਹੇਗਈ ਦੀ ਦੇਖ-ਰੇਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣਗੀਆਂ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਜਨਾਨਖਾਨੇ ਦਾ ਸਰਪ੍ਰਸਤ ਹੈ। ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤੀ ਲਈ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।
