Ezra 10:6
ਤਦ ਅਜ਼ਰਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੋਂ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਅਲਯਾਸੀਬ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੋਹਾਨਾਨ ਦੇ ਕਮਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯੋਹਾਨਾਨ ਦੇ ਕਮਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਤ ਗੁਜ਼ਾਰੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਨਾ ਰੋਟੀ ਖਾਧੀ ਨਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਤਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਹਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਅਨਾਸਬਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਬੜਾ ਦੁੱਖੀ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਸ ਪਰਤੇ ਸਨ।

ਕੰਧ ਦੇ ਉਸਾਰੀਏ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਜਾਜਕ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਅਲਯਾਸ਼ੀਬ ਸੀ। ਅਲਯਾਸ਼ੀਬ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਜਾਜਕ ਸਨ, ਭੇਡ ਫਾਟਕ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤੇ ਬੂਹੇ ਲਾਏ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੌਆਂ ਦੇ ਬੁਰਜ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਹਨਨੇਲ ਦੇ ਥੰਮ ਤੀਕ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੀ ਕੰਧ ਤੇ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਇੰਨੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਚੇਲੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, “ਗੁਰੂ, ਭੋਜਨ ਖਾ ਲਓ।”

ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਮੰਨਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹੋਁ ਨਿਕਲਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਆਪਣੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਵੱਧੀਕ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
ਨਹਮਿਆਹ 13:28
ਪਰਧਾਨ ਜਾਜਕ ਅਲਯਾਸ਼ੀਬ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੋਯਾਦਆ ਸੀ। ਯੋਯਾਦਆ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰੋਨੀ ਦੇ ਸਨਬੱਲਟ ਦਾ ਜਵਾਈ ਸੀ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਥੋਂ ਭਜਾਅ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਸ ਥਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਨਹਮਿਆਹ 12:10
ਯੇਸ਼ੂਆ ਯੋਯਾਕੀਮ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਯੋਯਾਕੀਮ ਅਲਯਾਸ਼ੀਬ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਲਯਾਸ਼ੀਬ ਯੋਯਾਦਾ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ।

ਅਜ਼ਰਾ 10:1
ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਅਜ਼ਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਬਨਾ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਵੀ। ਉਹ ਰੋ-ਰੋ ਕੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਸਿਰ ਨਿਵਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਅਜ਼ਰਾ ਇਉਂ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡਾ ਸਮੂਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ, ਔਰਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗਿਰਦ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਵੀ ਧਾਹਾਂ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਰੋਣ ਲੱਗੇ।
ਅਜ਼ਰਾ 9:4
ਫਿਰ ਹਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੋ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਡਰਦਾ ਸੀ, ਡਰ ਨਾਲ ਹਿੱਲ ਗਿਆ। ਉਹ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਸਨ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਕੈਦੋਁ ਵਾਪਸ ਮੁੜੇ ਸਨ, ਉਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵੱਲ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ। ਮੈਂ ਓੱਥੇ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਦੀ ਬਲੀ ਤਾਈਂ ਝਟਕੇ ਦੀ ਗਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੇਠਾ ਰਿਹਾ।
ਖ਼ਰੋਜ 34:28
ਮੂਸਾ ਉੱਥੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ 40 ਦਿਨ ਅਤੇ 40 ਰਾਤਾਂ ਠਹਿਰਿਆ। ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਭੋਜਨ ਖਾਧਾ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਤਾ। ਅਤੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੋ ਤਖਤੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮੇ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ (ਦਸ ਹੁਕਮ) ਲਿਖੇ।
