“‘ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਮੇਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ। ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਵੇਲੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਖਰੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਵੇਲੇ।’”

ਅਦੋਮੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ: “ਮੈਂ ਅਦੋਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਕਾਰਣ ਅਵੱਸ਼ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਦੋਮ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾ ਦਾ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਰਹਿਮ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸਗੋਂ ਅਦੋਮ ਦਾ ਕਰੋਧ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਿਹਾ ਉਹ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਰਿਹਾ।

“‘ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਫ਼ਿਜ਼ੂਲ ਹਨ। ਜਾਦੂ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ। ਝੂਠ ਦਾ ਪੁਲਂਦਾ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਇਹ। ਬਦ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਰਦਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੈ ਹੁਣ ਤਲਵਾਰ। ਬਣ ਜਾਵਣਗੇ ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਮੁਰਦਾ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ। ਵਕਤ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੈ ਆ ਗਿਆ। ਵਕਤ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਦੀ ਦੇ ਮੁਕਣ ਦਾ।

ਅਦੋਮ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੱਧ ਭਵਿੱਖਬਾਣੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਅਦੋਮ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਦਲਾ ਲੈਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ। ਅਦੋਮ ਦੇ ਲੋਕੀ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਸਨ।”

ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਬੇਇੱਜ਼ਤੀਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੁਣ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। “ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਬਹੁਤ ਮੰਦਾ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ, ‘ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ! ਅਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੋਜਨ ਵਾਂਗ ਚਬਾ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੇ!’
ਹਿਜ਼ ਕੀ ਐਲ 25:15
ਫ਼ਿਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਭਵਿੱਖਬਾਣੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਫ਼ਿਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਬਦਲਾ ਚੁਕਾਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਾਲਿਮ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੇਰ ਤੀਕ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਮਘਦੀ ਰੱਖੀ!”
ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 18:21
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਕੱ ਅਕਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਰਨ ਦਿਓ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹਰਾ ਦੇਣ ਦਿਓ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਪਤਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਂਝ ਰਹਿਣ ਦਿਓ। ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾਣ ਦਿਓ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਪਤਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਧਵਾਵਾਂ ਬਣਾ ਦਿਓ। ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾਣ ਦਿਓ। ਜਵਾਨ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾਣ ਦਿਓ।
ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 27:41
ਇਸ ਮਗਰੋਂ, ਇਸ ਅਸੀਸ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਏਸਾਓ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਖਾਰ ਖਾਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਿਆ। ਏਸਾਓ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ’ਚ ਸੋਚਿਆ, “ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਦੇਹਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਸੋਗ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਪਰ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਮੈਂ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।”
