Ezekiel 24:25
“ਆਦਮੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਮੈਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਉਹ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਥਾਂ (ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ) ਖੋਹ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ। ਉਹ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਥਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਣਾ ਪਸੰਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ, ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਉਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੋਹ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ। ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਇੱਕ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਾਸ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਬਾਰੇ ਮੰਦੀ ਖਬਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਵੇਗਾ।

ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਦੇਖੋ, ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸਥਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਾਣ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਦੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਥਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ। ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ, ਜੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
ਜ਼ਬੂਰ 48:2
ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਉਚਾਈ ਸਥਿਰ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਭਰ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰਬਤ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਹੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਅਸਲ ਪਰਬਤ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਮਹਾਨ ਰਾਜੇ ਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਅਨਾਬੋਬ ਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਗਭਰੂ ਜੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਧੀਆਂ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਭੁੱਖ ਨਾਲ ਮਰਨਗੇ।
ਅਸਤਸਨਾ 28:32
“ਹੋਰਨਾ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਧੀਆਂ-ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਤਲਾਸ਼ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਰਾ ਦਿਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਲਾਸ਼ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ, ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ, ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕੋਂਗੇ।

ਮੰਦਰ ਜਾਣ ਵੇਲੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਗੀਤ। ਮੈਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਖੁਸ਼ ਸਾਂ, ਜਦੋਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਆਉ ਅਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲੀਏ।”
ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 7:4
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਝੂਠੇ ਬੋਲਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ, “ਇਹ ਹੈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਮੰਦਰ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਮੰਦਰ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਮੰਦਰ!”
ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 52:10
ਉੱਥੇ ਰਿਬਲਾਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਤਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਕਤਲ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਦੇਖਣ ਲਈ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
