ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਲਿਆਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਦੇਖਿਆ। ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਨੇਕਨਾਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਤਬਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪਨੂੰ ਰੋਕ ਲਿਆ। ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਲਿਆਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਦੇਖਿਆ। ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਨੇਕ ਨਾਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸਾਂ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ‘ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ, ਤੂੰ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵੀ ਗਿਆ, ਮੇਰਾ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਨਾਮ ਬਦਨਾਮ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਨ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ। ਇਸਰਾਏਲ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਖਾਤਰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ! ਮੈਂ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਨਾਮ ਖਾਤਰ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।

ਇਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦਿਖਾਈ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਸਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਮੁਫ਼ਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਇਹ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਮਸੀਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਅਸੀਂ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਲੋਕ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਸੀਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਮੀਦ ਰੱਖੀ। ਅਤੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰ ਸੱਕੀਏ।
