Ezekiel 18:32
ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ! ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਵਾਪਸ ਪਰਤ ਆਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਜੀਵੋ!” ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖੀਆਂ।

ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਮੈਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਕਿ ਮੰਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਮਰਨ। ਮੈਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀਆਂ ਤਬਦੀਲ ਕਰਨ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਜਿਉਂ ਸੱਕਣ!

ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉਹ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਢਿੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਜਿਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਵਾਅਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਬਰ ਤੋਂ ਕੰਮ ਲੈ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ। ਉਹ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹਰ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਬਦਲ ਦੇਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਨਾ ਛੱਡ ਦੇਵੇ।

“ਤੈਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ‘ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ: ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਖੀ ਰੱਖਕੇ, ਮੈਂ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਰਦਿਆਂ ਦੇਖਕੇ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ-ਬਦ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਕੇ ਵੀ! ਮੈਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮਰਨ। ਮੈਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੰਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਵਾਪਸ ਪਰਤ ਆਉਣ। ਮੈਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਤਬਦੀਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਣ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਜਿਉਂ ਸੱਕਣ! ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪਰਤ ਆਓ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ! ਮੰਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨੋ ਹਟ ਜਾਵੋ! ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ, ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮਰਨਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਪਵੇ?’

ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਣੀ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ। ਉਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ-ਖੁਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ।
