ਅਸਤਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਨਾ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਯਹੂਦਣ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਖਾਨਦਾਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੋਕੜ ਬਾਰੇ ਨਾ ਦੱਸਿਆ, ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਮਰਦਕਈ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਣੋ ਮਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।

Esther	לֹֽא	lōʾ	loh
had not	הִגִּ֣ידָה	higgîdâ	hee-ɡEE-da
shewed	אֶסְתֵּ֔ר	ʾestēr	es-TARE
	אֶת	ʾet	et
people her	עַמָּ֖הּ	ʿammāh	ah-MA
nor her kindred:	וְאֶת	wĕʾet	veh-ET
for	מֽוֹלַדְתָּ֑הּ	môladtāh	moh-lahd-TA
Mordecai	כִּ֧י	kî	kee
had charged	מָרְדֳּכַ֛י	mordŏkay	more-doh-HAI
her	צִוָּ֥ה	ṣiwwâ	tsee-WA
that	עָלֶ֖יהָ	ʿālêhā	ah-LAY-ha
not should she	אֲשֶׁ֥ר	ʾăšer	uh-SHER
shew	לֹֽא	lōʾ	loh
it.	תַגִּֽיד׃	taggîd	ta-ɡEED
