“ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਕਦੇਮੋਥ ਦੇ ਮਾਰੂਥਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਂ, ਮੈਂ (ਮੂਸਾ) ਨੇ ਹਸ਼ਬੋਨ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਸੀਹੋਨ ਵੱਲ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ਵਾਹਕ ਭੇਜੇ ਸਨ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ਵਾਹਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੀਹੋਨ ਨੂੰ ਅਮਨ ਦੀ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਿਆ,

ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮਾਰਦਕਈ ਨੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਹਸ਼ਵੇਰੋਸ਼ ਦੇ 127 ਸੂਬਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਤਰ ਲਿਖੇ। ਮਾਰਦਕਈ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਛੁੱਟੀ ਆਪਸੀ ਪਿਆਰ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਸੀ ਭਰੋਸੇ ਦਾ ਪੈਗਾਮ ਬਣੇ।
