ਧਿਆਨ ਰੱਖਿਉ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੋਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਣੀਆਂ।

ਤਾਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਲਾਹਕਾਰਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਸਲਾਹ ਲਿੱਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿੱਚਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕੀਤੇ। ਤਾਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਵੱਛੇ ਬਣਾਏ। ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ। ਵੇਖੋ, ਹੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ, ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇਸ ਤੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਲਿਆਏ!”

ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਬੁਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਬੁਰੇ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਹੀ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਾਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਪੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ, ਬਸ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਲੱਗਾ ਰਿਹਾ।
