Acts 8:19
ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਇਹ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਦੇ ਦੇਵੋ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉੱਪਰ ਵੀ ਮੈਂ ਇਉਂ ਹੱਥ ਰੱਖਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਵੇ।”

ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਕੌਣ ਮਹਾਨ ਹੈ ਉਸੇ ਘੜੀ ਚੇਲੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਣ ਲੱਗੇ, “ਸਵਰਗ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭਨਾ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ?”
ਯੂਹੰਨਾ 5:44
ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋ। ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਦੀ ਚਾਹਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹੋ?
ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਰਤੱਬ 8:9
ਪਰ ਉਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਸੀ, ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਦੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਉਹ ਜਾਦੂ ਕਰਕੇ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਕੋਈ ਮਹਾਂਪੁਰੱਖ ਹਾਂ।
ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਰਤੱਬ 8:17
ਤਦ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੋਨਾਂ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਰੱਖੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ।

ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਅਖੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਸੀਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਜਨਮੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਸੀ।

ਮੈਂ ਕਲੀਸਿਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਖਤ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਦਿਯੁਤ੍ਰਿਫ਼ੇਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣੀ। ਉਹ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਵਿਖਾਵਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਸੰਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
