ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੇਰੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਛੋਟੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਮੁਸੀਬਤਾਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਸਨ। ਮੈਂ ਸਿਰਫ਼ 130 ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਜੀਵਿਆ ਹਾਂ। ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਖੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵਡੇਰੀ ਉਮਰ ਜੀਵੇ ਸਨ।”

ਜ਼ਬੂਰ 39:5

ਇਬਰਾਨੀਆਂ 13:14
ਇੱਥੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕੋਈ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਰਹੇਗਾ। ਪਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀ ਉਡੀਕ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ।
ਇਬਰਾਨੀਆਂ 11:9
ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਲੱਗਾ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਵਾਇਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਉਸ ਜਗ਼੍ਹਾ ਇੱਕ ਯਾਤਰੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਰਿਹਾ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਦਾ ਉਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਨਿਹਚਾ ਕਾਰਣ ਕੀਤਾ। ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ, ਇਸਹਾਕ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨਾਲ ਤੰਬੂਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਿਹਾ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਉਹੀ ਵਾਇਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।

ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਸੀਂ ਸਦਾ ਹੌਂਸਲਾ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਚਿਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਹਾਂ।

ਬਰਜ਼ਿੱਲਈ ਬੜਾ ਬੁੱਢਾ, 80 ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਮਹਨਇਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਿਆ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਰਸਤ-ਪਾਣੀ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਇਆ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਬੜਾ ਅਮੀਰ ਆਦਮੀ ਸੀ।

ਅਸੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਪਰਦੇਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਜਨਬੀ ਇਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਆਏ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਹੋਂਦ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਛਾਯਾ ਦੇ ਤੁੱਲ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਂ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖ ਸੱਕਦੇ।

ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਥੂਸਲਹ ਕੁੱਲ 969 ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਜੀਵਿਆ; ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ।
