ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ-ਹਿੱਤੀਆਂ, ਅਮੋਰੀਆਂ, ਕਨਾਨੀਆਂ, ਪਰਿਜ਼ੀਆਂ, ਹਿੱਵੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਯਬੂਸੀਆਂ-ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।

ਯਸਈਆਹ 34:5
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਅਜਿਹਾ ਓਦੋਁ ਵਾਪਰੇਗਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਖੂਨ ਨਾਲ ਲਬਪਬ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।” ਦੇਖੋ! ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਅਦੋਮ ਦੇ ਆਰ-ਪਾਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਰਨਾ ਪੈਣਾ ਹੈ।

ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਆਖੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ, ਜੇ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਰਤਦਾ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਾੜੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਾਪਰਨਗੀਆਂ।
