ਲੇਵੀ ਗਵਈਏ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦੇ ਪੂਰਬੀ ਪਾਸੇ ਵੱਲ ਖਲੋ ਗਏ। ਗਵਈਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਮੂਹ, ਆਸਾਫ਼, ਹੀਮਾਨ, ਅਤੇ ਯਦੂਥੂਨ ਅਨਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਭਰਾ ਇੱਕਤ੍ਰ ਹੋਏ। ਸਾਰੇ ਲੇਵੀ ਗਵਈਆਂ ਨੇ ਚਿੱਟੇ ਸੂਤੀ ਚੋਲੇ ਪਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰੰਗੀਆਂ, ਚਿਮਟੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਤਾਰਾਂ ਸਨ। ਓੱਥੇ ਲੇਵੀ ਗਵਈਆਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਕੁੱਲ 120 ਜਾਜਕ ਸਨ। ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ 120 ਜਾਜਕ ਤੁਰ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਵਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਗਵਈਏ ਇੱਕੋ ਸੁਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।

ਪਰਕਾਸ਼ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ 15:6

ਫ਼ਿਰ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਨੇਮ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਅੱਗੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਚੁਣਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਤਤਾਂ ਗਾਉਣਾ ਸੀ।

ਸੰਗੀਤ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਦਾਊਦ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਦੇ ਸੈਨਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਸਾਫ਼ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਸ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਈ ਵੱਖ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਆਸਾਫ਼ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੇਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਯਦੂਥੂਨ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਖਾਸ ਕੰਮ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਅਗੰਮੀ ਵਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਬਤਾਂ, ਦਿਲਰੁਬਾ, ਛੈਣਿਆਂ ਆਦਿ ਸਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੀਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਣਾ ਸੀ। ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੇਵਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੂਚੀ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੈ:

ਜਾਜਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਲਈ ਤੱਤਪਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਤੇ ਲੇਵੀ ਵੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਲਈ ਸਾਜ਼ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਇਹ ਸਾਜ਼ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਵਜੋਂ ਦਾਊਦ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਬਣਵਾਏ ਸਨ। ਜਾਜਕ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀ ਗਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਕਰੋ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਸਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਵਰ੍ਹਦੀ ਰਵੇ। ਜਾਜਕ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਰ ਖੜੋਕੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਤੁਰ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਵਜਾਉਂਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਰਹੇ।

ਇਮਾਰਤਕਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੀ ਨੀਂਹ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਜ ਪੂਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਜਦੋਂ ਇਹ ਕਾਰਜ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਸਤਰ ਪਹਿਨੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਤੁਰ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਫੜੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਸਾਫ਼ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ, ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਛੈਣੇ ਲੇ। ਉਹ ਸਭ ਆਪੋ-ਆਪਣੀ ਬਾਂਵੇ ਯੋਹਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਲਈ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਸਨ। ਇਹ ਸਭ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਉਸੇ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਹੋਇਆ।
