ਤਦ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਯਾਦਾ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਨਾਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਯੋਆਬ ਦੀ ਥਾਵੇਂ ਸੈਨਾਪਤੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਅਬਯਾਥਾਰ ਦੀ ਥਾਵੇਂ ਸਾਦੋਕ ਨੂੰ ਨਵਾਂ ਜਾਜਕ ਬਣਾਇਆ।

ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਅਬਯਾਥਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਜਾਜਕ ਵਜੋਂ ਸੇਵਾ ਨਾ ਕਰ ਸੱਕੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਉਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਜਾਜਕ ਏਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੀਲੋਹ ਵਿਖੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ। ਅਬਯਾਥਾਰ ਵੀ ਏਲੀ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੀ ਸੀ।

ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਲੋਕ ਬੜੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸੰਗ ਇਕੱਠਿਆਂ ਖਾਧਾ-ਪੀਤਾ। ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ, ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਸਰੀ ਵਾਰ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਮਸਹ ਕੀਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਦੋਕ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਜਕ ਵਜੋਂ ਮਸਹ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਉਸੇ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸੀ।

ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਅਲਆਜ਼ਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਈਥਾਮਾਰ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਨੂੰ ਦੋ ਅਲੱਗ-ਅਲੱਗ ਸਮੂਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੰਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ-ਜੋ ਕੰਮ ਸੌਂਪੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਰਜ਼ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੰਭਾਲਣ ਅਤੇ ਕਰਨ। ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਕਾਰਜ ਸਾਦੋਕ ਅਤੇ ਅਹੀਮਲਕ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਸਾਦੋਕ ਅਲਆਜ਼ਾਰ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਹੀਮਲਕ ਈਥਾਮਾਰ ਦੇ।

ਪਤਰਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਯਹੂਦਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਜ਼ਬੂਰ ਦੀ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ: ‘ਕਾਸ਼ ਉਸਦਾ ਘਰ ਉੱਜੜ ਜਾਵੇ। ਉੱਥੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ।’ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ‘ਉਸਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਂਭ ਲਵੇ।’

ਮੇਰੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਨੂੰ ਛੇਤੀ ਮਰ ਜਾਣ ਦਿਉ। ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਮਿਲਣ ਦਿਉ।
ਅੱਯੂਬ 34:24
ਜੇ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਸਾਲੀ ਲੋਕ ਵੀ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਨੇ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਵਾਲ ਪੁੱਛਣ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦੀ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤਾਂ ਬਸ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਤੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਵਜੋਂ ਚੁਣ ਲਵੇਗਾ।

ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕ ਭਰੋਸੇਮੰਦ ਜਾਜਕ ਚੁਣਾਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚੁਣੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹੀ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਚਾਹਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਜਾਜਕ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਤਕੜਾ ਬਣਾਵਾਂਗਾ। ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਚੁਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਟਹਿਲ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
ਗਿਣਤੀ 25:11
“ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਿਆਰ ਹੈ-ਮੈਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਮੇਰੇ ਹੀ ਰਹਿਣ। ਅਲਆਜ਼ਾਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਫ਼ੀਨਹਾਸ, ਜਾਜਕ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਦੇ ਪੋਤਰੇ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਕਹਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਲਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਭਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਵੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਾਰਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ।
