ਅਸੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਪਰਦੇਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਜਨਬੀ ਇਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਆਏ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਹੋਂਦ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਛਾਯਾ ਦੇ ਤੁੱਲ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਂ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖ ਸੱਕਦੇ।

ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਲਈ ਜੀਉ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਮਿੱਤਰੋ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁਸਾਫ਼ਿਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਦੇਸੀਆਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਹੋ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਤਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਰੀਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਇੱਛਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਲਈ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਇਹ ਇੱਛਾਵਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਰੂਹ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਲੜਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਯਾਕੂਬ 4:14

ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਲੋਕ ਮੌਤ ਤੱਕ ਨਿਹਚਾ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਰਹੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਪਾਈਆਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਵਾਇਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਖੁਸ਼ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਬੂਲਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਜਨਬੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਤਰੀ ਸਨ।
ਯਸਈਆਹ 40:6
ਇੱਕ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਬੋਲੋ!” ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੇ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਕੀ ਆਖਾਂ?” ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਲੋਕ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਘਾਹ ਫ਼ੂਸ ਵਰਗੇ ਹਨ। ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੰਗਿਆਈ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਫ਼ੁੱਲ ਵਰਗੀ ਹੈ।
ਵਾਈਜ਼ 6:12
ਕੌਣ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੋੜੇ ਚਿਰੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹੜੀ ਗੱਲ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਚੰਗੀ ਹੈ? ਉਸਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਪਰਛਾਵੇਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਖਤਮ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕੌਣ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਆਦ ਇਸ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀ ਵਾਪਰ
ਜ਼ਬੂਰ 119:19
ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਜਨਬੀ ਸਾਂ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਨਾ ਛੁਡਾਉ।
