ਫ਼ੇਰ ਬਿਲਆਮ ਨੇ ਅਮਾਲੇਕੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਉਚਾਰੇ: “ਅਮਾਲੇਕ ਸਮੂਹ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਤਾਕਤਵਰ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਅਮਾਲੇਕ ਵੀ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਜਾਏਗਾ!”

ਫਿਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਖੁਸਰਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਨੇ ਹਰਬੋਨਾਹ ਨੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇੱਕ 75 ਫੁੱਟ ਉੱਚੀ ਝੂਲਦੀ ਚੌਂਕੀ ਹਾਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਮਰਦਕਈ ਨੂੰ ਸੂਲੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਬਣਾਈ ਹੈ ਮਾਰਦਜਈ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਵਿਉਂਤ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦੇਕੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਬਚਾਈ ਸੀ।” ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਇਸੇ ਸੂਲੀ ਤੇ ਹਾਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਟੰਗ ਦੇਵੋ।”

ਹਾਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਹਸ਼ਵੇਰੋਸ਼ ਨੇ ਹਾਮਾਨ, ਅਗਾਗੀ ਹਮਦਾਬਾ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਉਚੇਰਾ ਰੁਤਬਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

1 Samuel 30:17
ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਜਾਕੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ। ਉਹ ਸਵੇਰ ਦੇ ਸੂਰਜ ਚੜ੍ਹਨ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਅਗਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਤੱਕ ਲੜਦੇ ਰਹੇ। ਇੱਕ ਵੀ ਅਮਾਲੇਕੀ ਬਚ ਨਾ ਸੱਕਿਆ ਸਿਰਫ਼ 400 ਜੁਆਨ ਊਠਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਭੱਜ ਨਿਕਲੇ।

ਅਮਾਲੇਕੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਿਕਲਗ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਬੋਲਣਾ ਤੀਜੇ ਦਿਨ, ਦਾਊਦ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਸਿਕਲਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਅਮਾਲੇਕੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਖਣ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਿਕਲਗ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਧਾਵਾ ਬੋਲਕੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਸੀ।

ਹੁਣ, ਤੂੰ ਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਮਾਲੇਕੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜ। ਤੂੰ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਅਮਾਲੇਕੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਹੈ ਸਣੇ ਅਮਾਲੇਕ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦੇ। ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਬਚੇ। ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਰਦ-ਔਰਤਾਂ, ਬੱਚੇ ਅਤੇ ਨਵਜਾਤ ਬੱਚੇ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਕੇ ਖਤਮ ਕਰ ਦੇ। ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਗਊਆਂ, ਭੇਡਾਂ, ਊਂਠ ਅਤੇ ਖੋਤੇ ਸਭ ਵੱਢ ਸੁੱਟ।”

ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਬੜਾ ਬਹਾਦੁਰ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਮਾਲੇਕੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾਇਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਇਆ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੁੱਟਿਆ ਸੀ।
Judges 6:3
ਉਹ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮਿਦਯਾਨੀ, ਅਮਾਲੇਕੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੂਰਬ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹੋਰ ਲੋਕ ਆਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ।

ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਤਖਤ ਵੱਲ ਉੱਠਾਏ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅਮਾਲੇਕੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜਿਆ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।”
