Numbers 14:44
ਪਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਵੱਲ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ। ਪਰ ਮੂਸਾ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮੇ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਗਏ।

“ਪਰ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਗਲਤ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਬੰਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਖ ਕਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੰਮੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਲਈ ਜਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਲਈ ਇੱਕੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਹੈ।

ਬਾਕੀ ਦੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਡੇਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਤ ਗਏ। ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਅੱਜ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਹਰਾਉਣ ਕਿਉਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ? ਅਸੀਂ ਸ਼ੀਲੋਹ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਨੇਮ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗੇ। ਇਉਂ, ਜੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਡੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰੇਗਾ।”
