Matthew 22
1 ਵਿਆਹ ਦੀ ਦਾਵਤ ਦੇ ਨਿਉਂਤੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਇੱਕ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਂਤ ਯਿਸੂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੋਲਿਆ:
2 “ਸਵਰਗ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਇੱਕ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਦੀ ਦਾਵਤ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਵਾਈ।
3 ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੋਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਦੀ ਦਾਵਤ ਤੇ ਸੱਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਦਾਵਤ ਦੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨੋਕਰਾਂ ਹੱਥ ਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਸੁਨੇਹਾ ਭੇਜਿਆ, ਪਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੀ ਦਾਵਤ ਤੇ ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
4 “ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹੋਰ ਵੱਧ ਨੋਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਣ ਲਈ ਭੇਜਿਆ, ‘ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸੋ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਸੱਦਿਆ; ਦਾਵਤ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਲਦਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੋਟੇ ਪਸ਼ੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਣ ਲਈ ਵੱਢਿਆ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੈ ਵਿਆਹ ਦੀ ਦਾਵਤ ਲਈ ਆਓ।’
5 “ਸੇਵਕ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਕਹਿ ਆਏ” ਪਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਨਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਕੋਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਣਜ ਨੂੰ।
6 ਕੁਝ ਹੋਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੋਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੜਿਆ, ਕੁਟਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਨੋ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
7 ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਬੜਾ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਆਇਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਾਤਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਸਾੜਨ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ।
8 “ਉਸਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੋਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਦਾਵਤ ਤਾਂ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੀ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਦਾਵਤ ਲਈ ਸੱਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਕਾਬਿਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਇੱਥੇ ਆਉਂਦੇ।
9 ਸੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਚੁਰਾਹਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਜਾਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਿਲੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਆਹ ਦੀ ਦਾਵਤ ਤੇ ਆਉਣ ਦਾ ਨਿਉਂਤਾ ਦਿਉ।’
10 ਤਾਂ ਨੋਕਰ ਬਾਹਰ ਚੁਰਾਹਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਗਏ। ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਲੱਭ ਸੱਕੇ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਲੇ ਬੁਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕਰ ਲਏ। ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਮਹਿਮਾਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਗਈ।
11 “ਜਦੋਂ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਮਹਿਮਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਣ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਇਆ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਦੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ।
12 ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਭਈ ਤੂੰ ਇੱਥੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਵਾਲੀ ਪੋਸ਼ਾਕ ਪਾਏ ਬਗੈਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਆਇਆ?’ ਪਰ ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੇ ਕੁਝ ਨਾ ਕਿਹਾ।
13 ਤਾਂ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਕੁਝ ਨੋਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਇਸ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ-ਪੈਰ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਕੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਦੇ ਹਨੇਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿਉ। ਉਸ ਜਗ਼੍ਹਾ ਲੋਕ ਰੋਂਦੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਦਰਦ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੰਦ ਕਰੀਚ ਰਹੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ।’
14 “ਹਾਂ, ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਥੋੜੇ ਹੀ ਚੁਣੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ।”
15 ਕੁਝ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨਾਲ ਧੋਖਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਉਸਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਫ਼ਰੀਸੀ ਬਾਹਰ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਫ਼ਸਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
16 ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੁਝ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੇਰੋਦੀਆਂ ਨਾਮੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਯਿਸੂ ਕੋਲ ਭੇਜਿਆ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ, ਅਸੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇੱਕ ਇਮਾਨਦਾਰ ਆਦਮੀ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੱਚਾਈ ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕੌਣ ਹਨ?
17 ਸੋ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸੋ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੀ ਸੋਚਦੇ ਹੋ ਕੀ ਕੈਸਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਸੂਲ ਦੇਣਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ?”
18 ਪਰ ਯਿਸੂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਇਰਾਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਪਟੀ ਹੋ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਫ਼ਸਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ?
19 ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਿੱਕਾ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਹਿਸੂਲ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵਿਖਾਓ।” ਤਦ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦਾ ਸਿੱਕਾ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਲਿਆਏ।
20 ਤਾਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਇਸ ਉੱਪਰ ਇਹ ਮੂਰਤ ਅਤੇ ਲਿਖਤ ਕਿਸਦੀ ਹੈ?”
21 ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਇਹ ਕੈਸਰ ਦੀ ਤਸਵੀਰ ਅਤੇ ਕੈਸਰ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਹੈ।” ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਕੈਸਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਕੈਸਰ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਉ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਉ।”
22 ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਇਹ ਸੁਣਕੇ ਬੜੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ।
23 ਕੁਝ ਸਦੂਕੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨਾਲ ਚਾਲ ਚੱਲੀ ਉਸੇ ਦਿਨ, ਕੁਝ ਸਦੂਕੀ ਯਿਸੂ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ। ਉਹ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਪੁਨਰ ਉਥਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਕਹਿਕੇ ਉਸਤੋਂ ਸਵਾਲ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ,
24 ਕਿ “ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਆਹੁਤਾ ਮਰਦ ਬੇਉਲਾਦ ਮਰ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਦਾ ਭਰਾ ਉਸਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰ ਲਵੇ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾ ਲਈ ਵਾਰਿਸ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਬੱਚੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ।
25 ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰ ਸੱਤ ਭਰਾ ਸਨ। ਪਹਿਲੇ ਨੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ। ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਉਲਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਨੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਵਿਧਵਾ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰਵਾ ਲਿਆ।
26 ਦੂਜੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਜੇ ਭਰਾ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸੱਤਾਂ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਇਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ।
27 ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੋਂ ਉਹ ਔਰਤ ਵੀ ਮਰ ਗਈ।
28 ਇਸ ਲਈ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕੀਤਾ, ਪੁਨਰ ਉਥਾਨ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਉਹ ਕਿਸਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ?”
29 ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਤੁਸੀਂ ਭੁੱਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਕਿ ਪੋਥੀਆਂ ਕੀ ਆਖਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ।
30 ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਪੁਨਰ ਉਥਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ, ਉੱਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਆਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਨਗੇ। ਉਹ ਸਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੂਤਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੋਣਗੇ।
31 ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪੁਨਰ ਉਥਾਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ।
32 ‘ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ।’ ਉਹ ਮੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਿਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਹੈ।”
33 ਲੋਕ ਉਸਦਾ ਇਹ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਸੁਣਕੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋਏ।
34 ਕਿਹੜਾ ਨੇਮ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਫ਼ਰੀਸੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਦੂਕੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਥਾਂ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਏ।
35 ਇੱਕ ਫ਼ਰੀਸੀ ਜੋ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਦਾ ਉਸਤਾਦ ਸੀ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਤਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਸਵਾਲ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ,
36 ਫ਼ਰੀਸੀ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ, ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੁਕਮ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਹੈ?”
37 ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦਿਲ ਨਾਲ, ਆਪਣੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਰੂਹ ਨਾਲ, ਅਤੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਮਨ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ।
38 ਪਹਿਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਹੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੁਕਮ ਹੈ।
39 ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਵੀ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਹੀ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਹੈ: ‘ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਆਂਢੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
40 ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਨੇਮ ਅਤੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਿਖਤਾਂ ਟਿਕੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।”
41 ਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਫ਼ਰੀਸੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਸਵਾਲ ਜਦੋਂ ਫ਼ਰੀਸੀ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਏ, ਤਾਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਸਵਾਲ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ।
42 “ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਸੀਹ ਬਾਰੇ ਕੀ ਸੋਚਦੇ ਹੋ। ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕਿਸਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈ?” ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ।”
43 ਤਾਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਦਾਊਦ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ‘ਪ੍ਰਭੂ’ ਕਿਉਂ ਬੁਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ? ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਆਖਿਆ,
44 ‘ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਬੈਠ ਜਦ ਤੀਕਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਹੇਠ ਨਾ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂ।’
45 ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜੇਕਰ ਦਾਊਦ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ‘ਪ੍ਰਭੂ’, ਬੁਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਉਸਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ?”
46 ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਫ਼ਰੀਸੀ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਸਵਾਲ ਦਾ ਜਵਾਬ ਨਾ ਦੇ ਸੱਕਿਆ। ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ, ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਸਵਾਲ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਹੌਂਸਲਾ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
1 And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said,
2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,
3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.
4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.
5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:
6 And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.
7 But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.
8 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.
9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.
10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.
11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:
12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
15 Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might entangle him in his talk.
16 And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men.
17 Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?
18 But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites?
19 Shew me the tribute money. And they brought unto him a penny.
20 And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription?
21 They say unto him, Caesar’s. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s.
22 When they had heard these words, they marvelled, and left him, and went their way.
23 The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him,
24 Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
25 Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:
26 Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh.
27 And last of all the woman died also.
28 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.
29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
31 But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,
32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
33 And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine.
34 But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together.
35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
41 While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,
42 Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David.
43 He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,
44 The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?
45 If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?
46 And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.

1 ਯਿਸੂ ਦੀ ਤਲਾਕ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਜਦੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖ ਹਟਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਗਲੀਲ ਤੋਂ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਅਤੇ ਯਰਦਨ ਨਦੀਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਹਦਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਗਿਆ।
And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galilee, and came into the coasts of Judaea beyond Jordan;

The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?
4 ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪੋਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਕਿ ਆਦਿ ਵਿੱਚ, ‘ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਰੁਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ?
And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
5 ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮਰਦ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਪ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਹੁਟੀ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਰਹੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਹੋਣਗੇ।’
And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
6 ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਹੁਣ ਦੋ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ, ਸਗੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹਨ! ਸੋ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਜੋੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਅੱਡ ਨਾ ਕਰੇ।”
Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
7 ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਪੱਤਰ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਤਲਾਕ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਕਿਉਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।”
They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?
8 ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਉਸਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸਖਤ ਦਿਲੀ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਪਤਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਲਾਕ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਪਰ ਮੁਢੋਂ ਇਹ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੀਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ।
He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.
9 ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਤਲਾਕ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜੀ ਔਰਤ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ, ਉਹ ਵਿਭਚਾਰ ਦਾ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਹੈ ਕਿਸੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਤਲਾਕ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਹੀ ਕਾਰਣ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਇਹ ਕਿ ਉਸਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਨਸੀ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਹੋਣ।”
And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.
10 ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਜੇਕਰ ਆਦਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਔਰਤ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰ ਇਹ ਹਾਲਾਤ ਹਨ, ਤਾਂ ਵਿਆਹ ਨਾ ਕਰਾਉਣਾ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ।”
His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.
11 ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਸਭ ਲੋਕ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਬੂਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦੇ। ਪਰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਗਿਆ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।
But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.
12 ਇਸਦੇ ਭਿੰਨ ਕਾਰਣ ਹਨ, ਕਿ ਕੁਝ ਆਦਮੀ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਾਉਂਦੇ। ਕੁਝ ਮਰਦ ਬੱਚੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਯੋਗਤਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਨਿਪੁੰਸੱਕ ਬਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿੰਦਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਆਦਮੀ ਵਿਆਹ ਦਾ ਖਿਆਲ ਸਵਰਗ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰਾ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਆਹ ਬਾਰੇ ਇਹ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਸਵੀਕਾਰ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।”
For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother’s womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.
13 ਯਿਸੂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਗਤ ਤਦ ਲੋਕ ਛੋਟੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਲਿਆਏ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਰੱਖਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰੇ। ਜਦੋਂ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਉਂ ਦੇਖਿਆ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਝਿੜਕਿਆ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆਏ ਸਨ।
Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.
14 ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਬਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੜਚਨ ਨਾ ਪਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਉਣ ਦਿਉ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਰੁਕਾਵਟ ਨਾ ਬਣੋ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਸਵਰਗ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਹੈ।”
But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
15 ਅਤੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਰੱਖਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਉਹ ਥਾਂ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence.
16 ਅਮੀਰ ਆਦਮੀ ਦਾ ਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਸਰਣ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਆਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਮੈਂ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਭਲਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਾਂ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਦੀਪਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਮਿਲੇ?”
And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
17 ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਤੁਸੀਂ ਨੇਕੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਮੈਥੋਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਪੁੱਛਦੇ ਹੋ? ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਦੀਪਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋ ਤਾਂ, ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰੋ।”
And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
18 ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਕਿਹੜੇ ਹੁਕਮ?” ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “‘ਇਹ, ਕਿ ਖੂਨ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ, ਵਿਭਚਾਰ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ, ਚੋਰੀ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਝੂਠੀ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਨਾ ਦਿਓ।
He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,
19 ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਂ-ਬਾਪ ਦਾ ਆਦਰ ਕਰੋ’ ਅਤੇ ‘ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਵਾਂਗ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਆਂਢੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰੋ।’”
Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
20 ਉਸ ਜਵਾਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਹੈ, ਹੋਰ ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀ ਕਮੀ ਹੈ?”
The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?
21 ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਜਾ ਜਾਕੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਵੇਚ ਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਧਨ ਗਰੀਬ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੰਡ ਦੇ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੂੰ ਆਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਹੋ ਤੁਰ।”
Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
22 ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਜਵਾਨ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਤਾਂ, ਉਹ ਉਦਾਸੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਅਮੀਰ ਸੀ।
But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.
23 ਤਦ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਅਮੀਰ ਦਾ ਸਵਰਗ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੜਨਾ ਬੜਾ ਔਖਾ ਹੈ।
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.
24 ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਅਮੀਰ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੜਨ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਊਠ ਦਾ ਸੂਈ ਦੇ ਨੱਕੇ ਰਾਹੀ ਲੰਘਣਾ ਸੁਖਾਲਾ ਹੈ।”
And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
25 ਚੇਲੇ ਇਹ ਸੁਣਕੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਬੋਲੇ ਕਿ, “ਤਾਂ ਕਿਸਦੀ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦੀ ਹੈ?”
When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?
26 ਤਦ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਵੇਖਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਅਸੰਭਵ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਲਈ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਸੰਭਵ ਹੈ।”
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
27 ਪਤਰਸ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਲੱਗਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਫ਼ਿਰ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ?”
Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?
28 ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਨਵੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਸਾਜੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਹਿਮਾਮਈ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਨ ਤੇ ਬੈਠੇਗਾ, ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਬਾਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਬੈਠੋਂਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਬਾਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ।
And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
29 ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ, ਭਾਈਆਂ, ਭੈਣਾਂ, ਮਾਂ-ਬਾਪ, ਬਾਲ-ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਜਾਂ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸੌ ਗੁਣਾ ਵੱਧ ਫ਼ਲ ਪਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਦੀਪਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ ਵਾਰਸ ਬਣੇਗਾ।
And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.
30 ਪਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੁਣ ਜਿੰਦਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁਤਬਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੈ, ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਬੜੀ ਨੀਵੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਰਜਾ ਹੁਣ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਨੀਵਾਂ ਹੈ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚਾ ਦਰਜਾ ਪਾਉਣਗੇ।
But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.
