ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਜਿਉਣ ਦਾ ਸਹੀ ਢੰਗ ਸਿੱਖਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਆਇਆ ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸਦੀ ਪਰਤੀਤ ਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਸਗੋਂ ਮਸੂਲੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਜਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਪਰਤੀਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਵੇਖਕੇ ਪਿੱਛੋਂ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਦਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ।

Isaiah 35:8
ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਓੱਥੇ ਇੱਕ ਸੜਕ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਇਸ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਰਾਹ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ “ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਮਾਰਗ” ਬੁਰੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਸੜਕ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਦੀ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਕੋਈ ਮੂਰਖ ਉਸ ਸੜਕ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੱਲੇਗਾ। ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਨੇਕ ਬੰਦੇ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਸੜਕ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੱਲਣਗੇ।
Psalm 81:11
“ਪਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣੀ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਿਆ।
