ਸਾਰੇ ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਆਪੋ-ਆਪਣੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਣ ਲੱਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਰਦਨ ਨਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
