ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਮੈਂ ਇੰਨੇ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਕਦੇ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੋੜਿਆ ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਿੱਤਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਦਾਅਵਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਬੱਕਰੀ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
