Leviticus 9:7
ਤਾਂ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖੀਆਂ, “ਜਾ, ਉਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਕੋਲ ਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਾਪ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਹੋਮ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ। ਆਪਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਲਈ ਪਰਾਸਚਿਤ ਕਰ। ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਲੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਪਰਾਸਚਿਤ ਕਰ।”

ਹਰ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਜਾਜਕ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਾਜਕ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਸੌਂਪਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਉਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਲਈ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਜਾਜਕ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਲਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਤੋਹਫ਼ੇ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀਆਂ ਅਰਪਨ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਚਾਹੀਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
Leviticus 4:3
“ਜੇ ਮਸਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਜਾਜਕ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਿਆਉਂਦਾ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪ ਲਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਪ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਵਜੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਬੇਨੁਕਸ ਜਵਾਨ ਬਲਦ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਣ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਰ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਕਮਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਜਾਜਕ ਹੀ ਜਾ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਜਾਜਕ ਉਸ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਕਮਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰੀ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਜਾਜਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਲਹੂ ਲਿਆਏ ਬਿਨਾ ਦਾਖਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ। ਜਾਜਕ ਉਹ ਲਹੂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਲਈ ਅਰਪਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਪਾਪ ਉਹ ਸਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਨਾ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕੀਤੇ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਪਾਪ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
Leviticus 4:16
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮਸਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਜਾਜਕ ਬਲਦ ਦਾ ਕੁਝ ਖੂਨ ਲਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਜਾਵੇ।

ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇੱਕ ਬਲਦ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਭੇਡੂ ਲਵੋ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਨੁਕਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਬਲਦ ਪਾਪ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਭੇਡੂ ਹੋਮ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਟ ਕਰੋ।

ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਸੌਂਹ ਖਾਧੀ ਕਿ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਨਾਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਏਲੀ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਪ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਟਾ ਸੱਕਣਗੀਆਂ।”

ਉਹ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਵਰਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਬਲੀ ਦੇਣੀ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਖਾਤਰ ਬਲੀ ਦੇਣੀ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੁਦ ਦੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਲਈ। ਪਰ ਮਸੀਹ ਨੂੰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਮਸੀਹ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਮਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਕੇਵਲ ਇੱਕ ਹੀ ਬਲੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
