Leviticus 22:9
“ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਹਿਦਾਇਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਨਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ ਅਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਕਰਨ ਕਾਰਣ ਮਾਰੇ ਨਾ ਜਾਣ। ਮੈਂ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਖਾਸ ਕੰਮ ਲਈ ਵੱਖ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।

| for | חֵ֔טְא | ḥēṭĕʾ | HAY-teh |
| die and it, | וּמֵ֥תוּ | ûmētû | oo-MAY-too |
| therefore, if | ב֖וֹ | bô | voh |
| they profane | כִּ֣י | kî | kee |
| I it: | יְחַלְּלֻ֑הוּ | yĕḥallĕluhû | yeh-ha-leh-LOO-hoo |
| the Lord | אֲנִ֥י | ʾănî | uh-NEE |
| do sanctify | יְהוָ֖ה | yĕhwâ | yeh-VA |
| them. | מְקַדְּשָֽׁם׃ | mĕqaddĕšām | meh-ka-deh-SHAHM |
