“ਪਰ ਜੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਨੁਕਸ ਹੈ-ਜੇ ਇਹ ਲੰਗੜਾ ਜਾਂ ਅੰਨ੍ਹਾ ਜਾਂ ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਖਰਾਬੀ ਹੈ, ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਅੱਗੇ ਇਸ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਦੀ ਬਲੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ।
Malachi 1:8
ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਲੀ ਲਈ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋ। ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਬੜੀ ਗ਼ਲਤ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਲਈ ਬੀਮਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਲੰਗੜ੍ਹੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਲੀ ਲਿਆਉਂਦੇ ਹੋ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਬੜੀ ਗ਼ਲਤ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ। ਕਦੇ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਬੀਮਾਰ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਾਕਮ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਕੇ ਵੇਖੋ, ਕੀ ਉਹ ਬੀਮਾਰ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਤੋਹਫਾ ਸਵੀਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਲਵੇਗਾ? ਨਹੀਂ! ਉਹ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਤੋਹਫ਼ੇ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਸਵੀਕਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ।” ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖੀਆਂ।
Leviticus 22:25
“ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਬਲੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੈਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਰੀਰਕ ਖਰਾਬੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।”

ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਵਸ਼ ਹੀ ਮਸੀਹ ਦਾ ਲਹੂ ਬਹੁਤ-ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਧ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮਸੀਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਅਮਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਪੂਰਣ ਬਲੀ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਰਪਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਸ ਦਾ ਲਹੂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਮੰਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਕ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਉਸ ਦਾ ਖੂਨ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਬਣਾਵੇਗਾ। ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰ ਸੱਕੀਏ।
