ਮੀਕਾਹ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਤੁਸੀਂ, ਦਾਨ ਦੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੁੱਤ ਚੁੱਕ ਲਈ ਹਨ। ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਬੁੱਤ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਬਣਾਏ ਸਨ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਜਾਜਕ ਵੀ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਕੀ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਹੈ? ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਆਖ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹੋ, ‘ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਤਕਲੀਫ਼ ਹੈ?’”
