Judges 16:17
ਆਖਰਕਾਰ ਸਮਸੂਨ ਨੇ ਦਲੀਲਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਦੱਸ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੱਟੇ। ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਜਨਮ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਸਾਂ। ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਿਰ ਮੁੰਨ ਦੇਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਖਤਮ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੈਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਹੋਰ ਬੰਦੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ।”

ਆਖਰਕਾਰ ਸਮਸੂਨ ਨੇ ਦਲੀਲਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਦੱਸ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੱਟੇ। ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਜਨਮ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਸਾਂ। ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਿਰ ਮੁੰਨ ਦੇਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਖਤਮ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੈਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਹੋਰ ਬੰਦੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ।”
