Judges 10:18
ਗਿਲਆਦ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜਿਹੜਾ ਵੀ ਅੰਮੋਨ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਡੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਉਹ ਗਿਲਆਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁਖੀ ਬਣ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।”

ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੀ ਕਨਾਨੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਾਈ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਦੇ ਦੇਹਾਂਤ ਤੋਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਸਾਡੇ ਕਿਹੜੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਕਨਾਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਲੜਨਗੇ?”

Judges 11:5
ਅੰਮੋਨੀ ਲੋਕ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਦੇ ਲੜ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਗਿਲਆਦ ਦੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਯਿਫ਼ਤਾਹ ਕੋਲ ਗਏ। ਉਹ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਯਿਫ਼ਤਾਹ ਤੋਬ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਵਾਪਸ ਗਿਲਆਦ ਆ ਜਾਵੇ।

Judges 12:7
ਯਿਫ਼ਤਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਛੇ ਸਾਲ ਤੱਕ ਨਿਆਂਕਾਰ ਰਿਹਾ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਗਿਲਆਦ ਦੇ ਯਿਫ਼ਤਾਹ ਦਾ ਦੇਹਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਸਬੇ ਗਿਲਆਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਦਫ਼ਨਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵੱਲ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਹੁਣ ਨਿਕਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਵੱਲ ਵੇਖੋ ਜ਼ਰਾ। ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਇਹ ਤਾਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਹੀ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਉਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰੇਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਧਨਵਾਨ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਆਪਣੀ ਧੀ ਦਾ ਵਿਆਹ ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਜੋ ਇਸ ਗੋਲਿਆਥ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟੇਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਉ ਦੇ ਟੱਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਕਰੇਗਾ।”

Isaiah 3:1

Isaiah 34:12
ਕੁੱਲੀਨ ਲੋਕ ਅਤੇ ਆਗੂ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਚੱਲੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਚੇਗਾ।
