ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤਕਰੀਬਨ 3,000 ਆਦਮੀ ਅਈ ਨੂੰ ਗਏ। ਪਰ ਅਈ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਤਕਰੀਬਨ 36 ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਭੱਜ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਅਈ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਾਟਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਖਦਾਨਾ ਤੀਕ ਭਜਾਇਆ। ਅਈ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਢਲਾਣ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਦੇਖਿਆ, ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੌਂਸਲਾ ਗੁਆ ਬੈਠੇ।

Isaiah 30:17
