Joshua 23:9
“ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਮਹਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਾਕਤਵਰ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਕੌਮ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੱਕੀ।

| you, for as but | וְאַתֶּ֗ם | wĕʾattem | veh-ah-TEM |
| no | לֹא | lōʾ | loh |
| man | עָ֤מַד | ʿāmad | AH-mahd |
| stand to able been hath | אִישׁ֙ | ʾîš | eesh |
| before | בִּפְנֵיכֶ֔ם | bipnêkem | beef-nay-HEM |
| you unto | עַ֖ד | ʿad | ad |
| this | הַיּ֥וֹם | hayyôm | HA-yome |
