ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਲੈ ਲਈ ਜਿਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਹਰ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ।

ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੀ ਅਸੀਸ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਬਾਰੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖੀਆਂ, “ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਲਈ ਪੁਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਆ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤਕੜਾ ਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣਿਆ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰ।”
