Job 15:19
ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਉਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੁਲਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੰਘਦਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਬੰਦਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਜੀਬ ਵਿੱਚਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤੇ।

ਏਬਰ ਦੋ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ। ਇੱਕ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪਲਗ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਨਾਮ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਕਾਲ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵੰਡੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਦੂਸਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸੀ ਯਾਕਟਾਨ।

ਸਰਬ ਉੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਖ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਕੌਮ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਸਰਹੱਦਾਂ ਥਾਪੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਓਨੀਆਂ ਹੀ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਸਾਜੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਜਿੰਨੇ ਕਿ ਇੱਥੇ ਦੂਤ ਹਨ।
