ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਅੰਦਰ ਇੱਕ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਅਤੇ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਗੱਲ ਵਾਪਰ ਗਈ ਹੈ।

ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਅੰਦਰ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਦੇਖ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਨਬੀ ਜਿਨਸੀ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਦੇ ਨੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਝੂਠ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਿਆ-ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਝੂਠੀ ਬਿਵਸਬਾ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਿਆ। ਉਹ ਮੰਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੋਤਸਾਹਨ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਨੇ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਲੋਕ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਟੇ। ਉਹ ਸਦੂਮ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਹਨ। ਹੁਣ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਅਮੂਰਾਹ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੈ।”

ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਰੋਸ ਹੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣੋ! ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਲਿਆ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੱਧਣ ਫ਼ੁੱਲਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਪਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਹੀ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
Jeremiah 2:12
“ਅਕਾਸ਼ੋ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਦਮਾ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰੋ, ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਵਾਪਰੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਮਹਾਂ ਭੈ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਬ ਜਾਵੋ!” ਇਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੀ।
