Jeremiah 48:8
ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਲੜਨ ਲਈ ਆਵੇਗਾ। ਕੋਈ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਚੇਗਾ। ਵਾਦੀ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਉੱਚੇ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਵਾਪਰੇਗਾ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਇਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਵਾਪਰੇਗਾ।

ਇੱਕ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਆਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ। ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਫ਼ੌਜੀ ਫ਼ੜੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਮਾਨਾਂ ਟੁੱਟ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ। ਕਿਉਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੰਦੇ ਅਮਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸਦੇ ਉਹ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਹਨ।

ਦੀਬੋਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਲੋਕੋ, ਆਪਣੀ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਥਾਂ ਉੱਤੋਂ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਆਓ। ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੈਠ ਜਾਓ। ਕਿਉਂ? ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।

ਇਸ ਲਈ ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦਾਂਗਾ” ਇਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹੈ-“ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦਾਂਗਾ। ਉਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਸੱਦ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਵੀ ਸੱਦ ਬੁਲਾਵਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਧਰਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਲਈ ਸਖਣੇ ਮਾਰੂਬਲ ਵਾਂਗ ਬਣਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਲੋਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਣਗੇ, ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਦੇਖਕੇ ਸੀਟੀਆਂ ਮਾਰਨਗੇ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕਿੰਨੀ ਬੁਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
Jeremiah 15:8
ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਆ ਲੈਣਗੀਆਂ। ਇੱਥੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚਲੀ ਰੇਤ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਵਿਧਵਾਵਾਂ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ। ਮੈਂ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਖਰ ਦੁਪਿਹਰੇ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗਾ। ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮਾਵਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਦੁੱਖ ਅਤੇ ਭੈ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਵਾਪਰਨ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ।

ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਰੇ ਮੈਦਾਨੀ ਕਸਬੇ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਇਲਾਕਾ ਵੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਅਮੋਰੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਸੀਹੋਨ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਰਾਜਾ ਹਸ਼ਬੋਨ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਦਯਾਨੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਆਗੂ ਸਨ: ਅੱਵੀ, ਰਕਮ, ਸ਼ੂਰ, ਹੂਰ ਅਤੇ ਰਬਾ। (ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਗੂ ਸੀਹੋਨ ਨਾਲ ਰਲਕੇ ਲੜੇ ਸਨ।) ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਗੂ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ।
