ਪਰ ਖਾਸ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਸੈਨਿਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਮਾਂਡਰ ਨਬੂਜ਼ਰਦਾਨ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਹ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਸਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਨਬੂਜ਼ਰਦਾਨ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗਰੀਬ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਗੂਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਗੀਚੇ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਤ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ।

ਗਦਲਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਬੋੜੀ ਦੇਰ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਜਦੋਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਓੱਥੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ, ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਖੁਲ੍ਹੇ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਬਾਹਰ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਕਿ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਬਚੇ ਹੋਏ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਅਹੀਕਾਮ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਗਦਲਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਖੀ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਰਹਿ ਗਏ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਸਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਗਰੀਬ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੰਦੀ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।

Jeremiah 52:16
ਪਰ ਨਬੂਜ਼ਰਦਾਨ ਨੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਗ਼ਰੀਬ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਗੂਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਗ਼ੀਚਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

Ezekiel 33:24
“ਆਦਮੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਹੋਏ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਝ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਲੋਕ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਆਖ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ‘ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਇੱਕ ਹੀ ਆਦਮੀ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ। ਹੁਣ ਅਸੀਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਲੋਕ ਹਾਂ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਅਵੱਸ਼ ਹੀ ਸਾਡੀ ਹੈ! ਇਹ ਸਾਡੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਹੈ!’
