Jeremiah 38:17
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ‘ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਆਤਮ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ, ਤੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਬਖਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਰਹੇਗਾ।

Jeremiah 38:2
“ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ: ‘ਜਿਹੜਾ ਵੀ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਠਹਿਰੇਗਾ ਉਹ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਭੁੱਖ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਂ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਮਰੇਗਾ। ਪਰ ਹਰ ਉਹ ਬੰਦਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਅੱਗੇ ਆਤਮ-ਸਮਰਪਣ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਉਹ ਜੀਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਬੰਦੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਜਾਨਾਂ ਬਚਾਕੇ ਨਿਕਲ ਜਾਣਗੇ।’

ਮੈਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਇਹੀ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਮੈਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ, “ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ, ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਗਰਦਨ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਜੂਲੇ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਪਾ ਦੇਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੰਨਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ, ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਜੀਵੇਗਾ।
Amos 5:27

Jeremiah 27:17
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਾ ਸੁਣੋ। ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰੋ। ਆਪਣੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨ ਕਰ ਲਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਰਹੋਗੇ। ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਤਬਾਹ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਕਾਰਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।

Jeremiah 7:6
ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅਜਨਬੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਚੰਗਾ ਸਲੂਕ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਵਿਧਵਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਯਤੀਮਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਚੰਗਾ ਵਿਹਾਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮਾਸੂਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਨਾ ਮਾਰੋ! ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਨਾ ਲੱਗੋ! ਕਿਉਂ? ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀਆਂ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦੇਣਗੇ।
Job 23:13
“ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਦਲਦਾ, ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਖਲੋ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੱਕਦਾ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਜੋ ਵੀ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Ezra 9:4
ਫਿਰ ਹਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੋ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਡਰਦਾ ਸੀ, ਡਰ ਨਾਲ ਹਿੱਲ ਗਿਆ। ਉਹ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਸਨ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਕੈਦੋਁ ਵਾਪਸ ਮੁੜੇ ਸਨ, ਉਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵੱਲ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ। ਮੈਂ ਓੱਥੇ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਦੀ ਬਲੀ ਤਾਈਂ ਝਟਕੇ ਦੀ ਗਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੇਠਾ ਰਿਹਾ।
