Jeremiah 36:31
ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਮ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮੈਂ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਬਿਪਤਾਵਾਂ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਾਪਰਨ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣੀ।’”

“ਕੋਈ ਨਬੀ, ਕੋਈ ਜਾਜਕ ਜਾਂ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਇਹ ਆਖੇ, ‘ਇਹ ਬੋਝ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹੈ।’ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੇ ਝੂਠ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਸੀ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ।

Jeremiah 44:4
ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਬਾਰ-ਬਾਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਬੀ ਭੇਜੇ। ਉਹ ਨਬੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੇਵਾਦਾਰ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਇਹ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਗੱਲ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ। ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਬੁੱਤ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।’
Jeremiah 29:17
ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਮੈਂ ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਤਲਵਾਰ, ਭੁੱਖਮਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਬਿਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਭੇਜਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਹਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ। ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਣਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਅੰਜੀਰ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਖਾਣ ਦੇ ਕਾਬਿਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ।
Jeremiah 17:18
ਲੋਕ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਮਸਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿਓ। ਪਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਿਰਾਸ਼ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਕਰ ਦਿਓ। ਪਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ। ਮੇਰੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਲਈ ਕਿਆਮਤ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ ਲਿਆਵੋ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਟੋਟੇ ਕਰ ਦਿਓ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਰ-ਬਾਰ ਟੋਟੇ ਕਰੋ।
Jeremiah 11:8
ਪਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣੀ। ਉਹ ਜ਼ਿੱਦੀ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਓਹੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੰਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਲੋਚਦੇ ਸਨ। ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮਾ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਾਪਰਨਗੀਆਂ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਪਰ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਾਪਰਨ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ! ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮੇ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਣ ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਿਆ।”
Deuteronomy 28:15
ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਮੰਨਣ ਦੇ ਸਰਾਪ “ਪਰ ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਹੋ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ-ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਨੇਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੈਂ ਅੱਜ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹਾਂ-ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਾਪਰਨਗੀਆਂ:
Leviticus 26:14
ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ “ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ।
