ਫ਼ੇਰ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਬਾਰੂਕ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਸਵਾਲ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਬਾਰੂਕ ਸ਼ਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦੱਸ ਕਿ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਪੱਤਰੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕਿੱਥੋਂ ਮਿਲੇ? ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਉਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਲਿਖ ਲਈਆਂ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਦੱਸੀਆਂ ਸਨ?”
