Jeremiah 36:10
ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ, ਬਾਰੂਕ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਪੱਤਰੀ ਪੜ੍ਹੀ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਸਨ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪੱਤਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੜ੍ਹਿਆ। ਬਾਰੂਕ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਤਰੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਕੇ ਸੁਣਾਈ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ। ਬਾਰੂਕ ਨੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਪੱਤਰੀ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਸੁਣਾਈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਉੱਪਰ ਵਰਾਂਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਮਰਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਕਮਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਕਮਰਾ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਸੀ। ਗਮਰਯਾਹ ਸ਼ਾਫ਼ਾਨ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ। ਗਮਰਯਾਹ ਮੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਲਿਖਾਰੀ ਸੀ।

Jeremiah 52:25
ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਖਾਸ ਦਸਤੇ ਦੇ ਕਮਾਂਡਰ ਨੇ ਲੜਾਕੂਆਂ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਫ਼ੜ ਲਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਸੱਤ ਸਲਾਹਕਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਬੰਦੀ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ। ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਹਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਮੁਣਸ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਫ਼ੜ ਲਿਆ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕਿ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਰਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਸੱਠ ਆਮ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਫ਼ੜ ਲਿਆ।
Jeremiah 26:10
ਹੁਣ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਹਾਕਮਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਜੋ ਇੱਥੇ ਵਾਪਰ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਆ ਗਏ। ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵੱਲ ਗਏ। ਉੱਥੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਗ੍ਰਹਿਣ ਕਰ ਲੇ। ਨਵਾਂ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵੱਲ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਹੈ।
Jeremiah 36:25
ਅਲ-ਨਾਥਾਨ, ਦਲਾਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਗਮਰਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਮ ਨਾਲ ਪੱਤਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਸਾੜਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ। ਪਰ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣੀ।

ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੈਂ ਰੇਕਾਬੀ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ। ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਕਮਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਏ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਨਾਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦਾ ਕਮਰਾ ਸੱਦਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਹਾਨਾਹ ਯਿਗਦਲਯਾਹ ਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ। ਹਾਨਾਨ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਕਮਰੇ ਉਸ ਕਮਰੇ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਦਾ ਸੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਕੁਮਾਰ ਠਹਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਸ਼ੱਲੁਮ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਮਆਸੇਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਕਮਰੇ ਦੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਸੀ। ਮਆਸੇਯਾਹ ਮੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਚੌਕੀਦਾਰ ਸੀ।

ਇਸ ਲਈ ਨੇਰੀਆਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਾਰੂਕ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਹਰ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਨਬੀ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਖੀ ਸੀ। ਬਾਰੂਕ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਪੱਤਰੀ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਸੁਣਾਈ ਜਿਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਲਿਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ।
Jeremiah 36:6
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵੱਲ ਜਾਵੇਂ। ਓੱਥੇ ਰੋਜ਼ੇ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਜਾਵੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਪੱਤਰੀ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਸੁਣਾਵੀਁ। ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਉਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਸੁਣਾਵੀਁ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਪੱਤਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖੇ ਹਨ। ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਆਪੋ-ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਚੱਲ ਕੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਆਏ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਸੁਣਾਈਁ।
Jeremiah 29:3
ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਅਲਆਸਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਗਮਰਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜੇ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਵੱਲ ਘਲਿਆ। ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਸੀ। ਅਲਆਸਾਹ ਸ਼ਾਫ਼ਾਨ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਗਮਰਯਾਹ ਹਿਲਕੀਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ। ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਮਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਲਿਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਖਤ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਖਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਸੀ:

ਉੱਥੇ ਇੱਕ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਆਦਮੀ ਸੀ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸੀ ਸ਼ਾਫ਼ਾਨ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਹੀਕਾਮ। ਅਹੀਕਾਮ ਨੇ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਹੀਕਾਮ ਨੇ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਕਤਲ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਇਆ।

ਤਦ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਲਯਾਕੀਮ (ਜੋ ਮਹਿਲ ਦਾ ਮੁਖਤਿਆਰ ਸੀ।) ਸ਼ਬਨਾ (ਸਕੱਤਰ) ਅਤੇ ਆਸਾਫ਼ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੋਆਹ (ਮੁੰਸ਼ੀ) ਸਾਰੇ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਫ਼ਟੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ਇਹ ਦਰਸਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਬੜੇ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਜਾਕੇ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰਾ ਹਾਲ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਿ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰੀ ਕਮਾਂਡਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੀਆਂ ਸਨ।
2 Kings 15:35
ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਉੱਚੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਢਾਹਿਆ। ਲੋਕ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਚੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਂਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਧੂਪ ਧੁਖਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ। ਯੋਥਾਮ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਉੱਪਰਲਾ ਫ਼ਾਟਕ ਬਣਵਾਇਆ।

ਸ਼ਿਵਾ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਸੀ। ਸਾਦੋਕ ਅਤੇ ਅਬਿਯਾਥਰ ਜਾਜਕ ਠਹਿਰਾਏ ਗਏ।
