Jeremiah 34:3
ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ, ਤੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਚ ਸੱਕੇਂਗਾ। ਤੂੰ ਅਵੱਸ਼ ਫ਼ੜ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ। ਤੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਦੇਖੇਂਗਾ। ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਰੂਬਰੂ ਗੱਲ ਕਰੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ।

ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਤੋਂ ਬਚ ਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਨਿਕਲ ਸੱਕੇਗਾ। ਸਗੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਹੀ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਹੋਕੇ ਗੱਲ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਦੇਖੇਗਾ।

ਅਜਿਹਾ ਵਾਪਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ,’” ਇਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹੈ, “‘ਮੈਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਇਸ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਪਲੇਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਬੰਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਰਨਗੇ। ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਭੁੱਖ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਰਨਗੇ। ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਦੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਕਰਾਵਾਂਗਾ। ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਕੋਈ ਰਹਿਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿਖਾਏਗਾ। ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਅਫ਼ਸੋਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ।’

ਮੈਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੋਵੇ।

ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨੇ ਅਖੀਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀ ਉਹ ਦੀਵਾਰ ਢਾਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਸ ਰਾਤ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਭੱਜ ਨਿਕਲੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਭੱਜਣ ਲਈ ਦੁਹਰੀਆਂ ਦੀਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਜੋ ਗੁਪਤ ਫ਼ਾਟਕ ਸੀ ਉਸਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਹ ਰਾਹ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਬਾਗ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਸੀ। ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਉਜਾੜ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਭੱਜ ਕੇ ਬਚ ਨਿਕਲੇ।

ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਬਦ ਆਗੂਓ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾਵੋਂਗੇ। ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਾ ਵਕਤ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ! ਅੰਤ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ!”

ਪਰ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਚਕੇ ਨਿਕਲ ਸੱਕੇਗਾ। ਕਿਉਂ? ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮੇ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਖੋਁ ਪਰੋਖੇ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮਾ ਤੋੜਿਆ।”
Ezekiel 12:13
ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਉੱਪਰ ਆਪਣਾ ਜਾਲ ਫੈਲਾਵਾਂਗਾ। ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਜਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ਸ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ, ਚਾਲਡੀਨ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗਾ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੱਕੇਗਾ ਉਹ ਉੱਥੇ ਮਰ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਧਾਵਾ ਬੋਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਫ਼ੌਜੀ ਭੱਜ ਗਏ। ਉਹ ਰਾਤ ਵੇਲੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ’ਚੋਂ ਨਿਕਲ ਗਏ। ਉਹ ਦੋ ਕੰਧਾਂ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰਲੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿਕਲ ਗਏ। ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਬਾਗ਼ ਨੇੜੇ ਸੀ। ਭਾਵੇਂ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਘੇਰਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਫ਼ੌਜੀ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਭੱਜ ਗਏ। ਉਹ ਮਾਰੂਬਲ ਵੱਲ ਦੌੜ ਗਏ।
Jeremiah 39:4
ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਿਆ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਦੂਰ ਭੱਜ ਗਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਰਾਤ ਵੇਲੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡਿਆ। ਉਹ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਬਾਗ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਬਾਹਰ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਦੋ ਦੀਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰ ਸੀ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਮਾਰੂਬਲ ਵੱਲ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ।
Jeremiah 38:18
ਪਰ ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਤਮ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜ ਦੇਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਬਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੱਕੇਂਗਾ।’”

ਫ਼ੇਰ ਰਾਜੇ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜ ਮਹਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਗਿਆ। ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕਾਂਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਕੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਹੈ?” ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਹਾਂ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਹੈ। ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।”
