Jeremiah 3:9
ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਵੇਸਵਾ ਵਰਗੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਸ ਨੂੰ ‘ਨਾਪਾਕ’ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਅਤੇ ਲਕੜੀ ਦੇ ਬਣੇ ਬੁੱਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਵਿਭਚਾਰ ਦਾ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤਾ।
