Jeremiah 11:2
“ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ, ਇਸ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮੇ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣ। ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ।

ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੰਨਣ ਲਈ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੇਰੇ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮੇ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣ ਕਰੋ। ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ, ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਖਾਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਹੋਵੋਂਗੇ। ਸਾਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਖਾਸ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਵਜੋਂ ਚੁਣ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ।

ਯਹੋਯਾਦਾ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰ ਇੱਕ ਨੇਮ ਬਨ੍ਹਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਹੋਣ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰ ਵੀ ਨੇਮ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਿਆ। ਇਸ ਨੇਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਦਰਸਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਰਾਜਾ ਪਰਜਾ ਲਈ ਕੀ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਜਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੰਨੇਗੀ।

ਤਦ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਜੋ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਗਏ। ਸਾਰੇ ਜਾਜਕ, ਨਬੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਜਾਂ ਛੋਟੇ ਨਾਮਣੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਗਏ। ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਿਆ। ਇਹ ਉਹ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ। ਯੋਸੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਇਸ ਪੋਥੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣ ਸੱਕਣ।

ਤਦ ਯਹੋਯਾਦਾ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਸੌਂਹ ਖਾਧੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਹੋਣਗੇ।

ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੁਣ, ਮੈਂ, ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨਾਲ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮਾ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਸਾਡੇ ਤੋਂ ਹਟਾ ਲਵੇਗਾ।

ਤਦ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮਾ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਨੇਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਕਹੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਤੁਰਾਂਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਉਸਦੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਿਧੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਤਨ-ਮਨ ਨਾਲ ਪਾਲਨਾ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ। ਉਸ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਹਿ ਦਿਲੋਂ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਉੱਪਰ ਪੂਰਨੇ ਪਾਵਾਂਗੇ।
Jeremiah 34:13
“ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ: ‘ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਸਨ। ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
