Isaiah 6:9
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦੱਸੋ: ‘ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣੋ, ਪਰ ਸਮਝੋ ਨਾ! ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਦੇਖੋ, ਪਰ ਸਿੱਖੋ ਨਾ!’

| Go, | לֵ֥ךְ | lēk | lake |
| tell and | וְאָמַרְתָּ֖ | wĕʾāmartā | veh-ah-mahr-TA |
| this | לָעָ֣ם | lāʿām | la-AM |
| people, | הַזֶּ֑ה | hazze | ha-ZEH |
| Hear | שִׁמְע֤וּ | šimʿû | sheem-OO |
| indeed, ye | שָׁמ֙וֹעַ֙ | šāmôʿa | sha-MOH-AH |
| but understand | וְאַל | wĕʾal | veh-AL |
| not; | תָּבִ֔ינוּ | tābînû | ta-VEE-noo |
| see and | וּרְא֥וּ | ûrĕʾû | oo-reh-OO |
| ye indeed, | רָא֖וֹ | rāʾô | ra-OH |
| but perceive | וְאַל | wĕʾal | veh-AL |
| not. | תֵּדָֽעוּ׃ | tēdāʿû | tay-da-OO |
