Isaiah 5:10
ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਦਸ ੇਕੜ ਅੰਗੂਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਖੇਤ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਬੋੜੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਬੀਜਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਬੋਰਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਥੋੜਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੀ ਅਨਾਜ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।”

ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਰੱਖੀ, ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਵਾਡੀ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਗਏ, ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬਸ ਬੋੜੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਹੀ ਮਿਲੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਘਰ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ, ਮੈਂ ਹਵਾ ਭੇਜੀ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਉਡਾਅ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਗਈ। ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਵਾਪਰਦਾ ਹੈ? ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਮੰਦਰ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਉਜੜਿਆ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਦ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਆਪੋ-ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁਝਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
Haggai 2:16
ਜਦੋਂ ਵੀ ਕੋਈ ਅਨਾਜਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਢੇਰੀਆਂ ਕੋਲ 20 ਪੈਮਾਨਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਕਰਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ, ਓੱਥੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ 10 ਪੈਮਾਨੇ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਜਦੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਦੀ ਕੁਲਹਾੜੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ 50 ਮਰਤਬਾਨ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਦੇ ਕੱਢਣ ਲਈ ਗਿਆ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ 20 ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਏ।
