Isaiah 31:8
ਇਹ ਸੱਚ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਨੂੰ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਹਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਇਨਸ਼ਾਨ ਦੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਭੱਜੇਗਾ। ਪਰ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਬੰਦੇ ਫ਼ੜ ਲੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਬਣਾ ਲੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।

ਦੇਖੋ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਦੂਰੋ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸਦਾ ਕਹਿਰ ਧੂਏਂ ਦੇ ਮੋਟੇ ਬੱਦਲਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਅੱਗ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੈ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਕਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਜੀਭ ਬਲਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਵਰਗੀ ਹੈ।

Isaiah 10:16
ਪਰ ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਜੋਧਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਮਹਾਮਾਰੀ ਭੇਜੇਗਾ। ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਓਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਦੌਲਤ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਗਵਾ ਲਵੇਗਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਬੀਮਾਰ ਆਦਮੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਭਾਰ ਘਟਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦਾ ਪਰਤਾਪ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਇਹ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਅੱਗ ਉਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਬਲਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਚੀਜ਼ ਸੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੀ।

Isaiah 10:12
ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਜਿਸਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਅਤੇ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਪਰਬਤ ਲਈ ਬਣਾਈ ਸੀ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਬਹੁਤ ਗੁਮਾਨੀ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਂਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਮੰਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।

2 Chronicles 32:21
ਤਦ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਡੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਤ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ। ਉਸ ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਡੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ, ਆਗੂਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੈਨਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਢ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ। ਤਦ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਾ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਗਿਆ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਹ ਪਰਤ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਆ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਢ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ।

2 Kings 19:34
ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਬਚਾਵਾਂਗਾ, ਇਹ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਇਹ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਦਾਊਦ ਲਈ, ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।’”
